I am an interdisciplinary scientist interested in the micromechanics of natural systems and bioinspired engineering. I currently study the biomechanics of filter structures in the critically endangered basking shark. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the City University of Hong Kong and the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, where I worked on the mechanics of biological structures across scales, including stingray skin coloration. During my PhD at the Freiburg Botanic Garden, I investigated the biomechanics of plant–insect interactions. I hold degrees in Nanotechnology and Mechanical Engineering and have nearly three years of teaching experience in mechanics and design-related subjects in India. I have received several honors, including magna cum laude in PhD, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher Fellowship and an invitation to attend the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. My work was also featured in various prestigious science magazines.

I am also an occasional artist and absolutely love adventures!
